While I was with the kids on Thursday, Jake was working his buns off getting our stuff moved. By the time I got home, Matt had already come and gone and Eric and Lisa were playing their roles as heavy lifter and interior designer, respectively. The Target cart proved indispensable and definitely added a laughable element to an otherwise irritating experience (anyone else out there hate moving???).
Seriously though, this move would have been a bear without this thing. The terrible thing is U-haul hasn’t figured out that they need a contraption like the above for people to rent….hmm I see a business venture being born from this…
After the move was complete and the majority of our stuff put away, the four of us headed to Hall Street Grill for happy hour. The happy hour menu is excellent including the HH usual suspects like a burger and hummus plate but also has unique dishes that are variations of dinner items. We got to the restaurant a little bit before happy hour started so we warmed up with their crab and artichoke dip with crostini. Once the clock struck 9, we ordered the following to share tapas style:
- Microbrew fries with chipotle aioli
- Gnocchi with summer vegetables, chevre and truffle butter (I selected this from the menu and the guys looked at me cross-eyed. It turned out to be a major crowd-pleaser for all of us. Can you ever go wrong with truffle butter?)
- Five Spice beef short ribs
- Pork belly reuben bites
- Certified Angus beef burger
